Gumbo Ya Ya 2011 – Stimulate Your Senses…..
Look for the spirit and energy to flow upstream from The Big Easy to downtown Rock Island for Gumbo Ya Ya 2011. Gumbo Ya Ya 2011 is the only “two night Mardi Gras party” in The District. Cajun, Zydeco, and Jazz bands will tantalize your ears, while Cajun spiced food will heat up your taste buds. Bead tosses, confetti, feather masks, feather boas, showgirls, drag queens, and vampires will give your eyes even more excitement.
Gates open at 5PM on Friday and 4PM on Saturday.

Gumbo Ya Ya is held on the Great River Plaza, 2nd Avenue between 17th & 19th Streets, in Downtown Rock Island, Illinois. Admission is $8 for a one-night ticket; $12 for a two-night ticket; children 12 and under are free.
